- 2. Choose a strong password (the password needs to include an uppercase letter, a lower case letter, and a number or a special symbol).
- 3. Click on ‘Reinstall’.
In this guide, you will see how you can re-install the VPS operating system, whether a Windows version or a Linux distro. You can freely choose any version of the OS you want. REMEMBER: By doing this, all of your data stored on the VPS storage will be permanently deleted. Please make sure you have made a back-up of your important data beforehand. Step 1: First, log in to your Control Panel from: https://support.routerhosting.com/clientarea.php Then click on ‘Services‘.Click on the target VPS server which you want to re-install the Operating System. (if you have multiple VPS servers, make sure that you select the right VPS machine.)Step 2: Click on the ‘OS Reinstall’ as shown in the screenshot below:Step 3:By clicking on Reinstall you will see a confirmation box, saying, “WARNING: Existing data on VPS will be lost permanently.” (Once again, please make sure that you have made back-ups of your IMPORTANT data.)Congratulations. You have completed the process.
